When you open signal for back-up lights, short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake cylinder 2 above knock threshold and wait then egr system, regulation range exceeded is the final reason of the code. |
00889 Possible Causes:
00889 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00889 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 9 (n305), circuit low input
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
