Staring in engine valve for engine storage (n144/145), interruption / short-circuit after mass run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed o2 sensor signals swapped, bank 1 sensor 3 - /bank 2 sensor 3 . So for next idle regulation lean operation: rpm too high is the final reason of the code. |
00889 Possible Causes:
00889 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00889 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 oxygen sensor before catalyst, heater circuit, regulation at upper limit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
