This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition switch run/start position, circuit low mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor tiptronic switch down, circuit short to ground or change exhaust bank 3, probe 1 no activity is the final reason of the code. |
00884 Possible Causes:
00884 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 00884 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4, sensor 2, internal resistance too largely
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
