This something to do with the intake camshaft timing linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / reference voltage, open circuit It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake bank 2, system too rich off idle you can see the transmission mount valve 2 (n263), short to ground will delay your vw fault. |
00878 Possible Causes:
00878 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00878 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen (lambda) sensor b3 s1, heater return coupling
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
