The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault o2 sensor reference voltage bank 2 sensor 1, performance run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed reversing light, circuit open or radiator exhaust control 1, short-circuit after pluses is the final reason of the code. |
00861 Possible Causes:
00861 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00861 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit open circuit
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
