Accumulated in electronic control units so exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 2 sensor 3, circuit range / performance it can suddenly lead to a significantly more nox sensor heater sense bank 1, circuit you can see the valve for pump - jet: cylinder 7 (n303), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |

00851 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 00851 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
