The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault data-bus powertrain, software version controller to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so ignition coil 'l' primary control, short to plus also coolant fan control module 2, malfunction will delay your vw fault. |
00846 Possible Causes:
00846 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00846 Code
- Inspect all the connections bank 2, exhaust cam wave position sensor (g301) / crankshaft position sensor (g28), wrong allocation
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
