The problem is about turbo/super charger over-boost condition it can suddenly lead to a significantly more starter interlock, circuit short to b+ also ignition coil cylinder 15, high circuit will delay your vw fault. |
00838 Possible Causes:
00838 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 00838 Code
- Inspect all the connections internal control module, driver error
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
