Staring in engine please check dtc memory of engine ecu mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 2 / reference voltage, short to ground or hc adsorption catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 2 is the final reason of the code. |
00831 Possible Causes:
00831 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 00831 Code
- Inspect all the connections activation 2-unit injector valve, electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
