The problem is about pressure control solenoid 4 (n218), open / short to ground the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles control of valves pump / nozzle, electrical errors in the electric circuit or ignition coil 'i' secondary circuit, malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
00818 Possible Causes:
00818 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00818 Code
- Inspect all the connections please check dtc memory of air condition ecu
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
