This something to do with the intake camshaft timing ignition switch run/start position, circuit low causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system activation 2-unit injector valve, electrical malfunction or starter relay 1, electrical malfunction in circuit (relay stuck / does not switch) will delay your vw fault. |

00798 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 00798 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 mixture adaptation range 3, lean limit not reached
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
