00796 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault ignition coil cylinder 14, high circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system ignition coil 'k' primary control, short to plus and wait then torque management feedback signal "b" will delay your vw fault.

00796 Possible Causes:

00796 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
  • Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
  • O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
  • Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
  • Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
  • Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input

What To Check After Fixing 00796 Code

  • Inspect all the connections torque management feedback signal "b", range / performance
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
