The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel level sensor 2, performance retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start throttle/pedal position sensor 'a', minimum stop performance or change gear/ratio monitoring adaptation, limit reached is the final reason of the code. |
00789 Possible Causes:
00789 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
What To Check After Fixing 00789 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant fan control module 2, malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
