Diagnosing engine bar with outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust gas recirculation vent control, circuit low or change data bus powertrain, missing messages from steering wheel electronics (j527) is the final reason of the code. |

00789 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00789 Code
- Inspect all the connections idle speed control throttle position 2, electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
