The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system please check dtc memory of instrument panel ecu you can see the vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit intermittent will delay your vw fault. |
00779 Possible Causes:
00779 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00779 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 2, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
