The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (n304), regulation range exceeded causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system fuel pump, short circuit also nox sensor heater control bank 2, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
00778 Possible Causes:
00778 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00778 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 3, biased / stuck lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
