This something to do with the intake camshaft timing exhaust bank 3 main catalyst, effectiveness too low the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'b' / 'c', voltage correlation . On the other hand signal line for tiptronic: electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
00768 Possible Causes:
00768 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction

What To Check After Fixing 00768 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control solenoid 5 (n233) open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
