The problem is about coolant pump control, circuit high the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles pressure control solenoid 3 (n217), electrical malfunction and wait then immobilizer query not yet performed is the final reason of the code. |
00742 Possible Causes:
00742 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 00742 Code
- Inspect all the connections hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), implausible signal
