This code were stamped on VW Engine case outside temperature sensor 2 (g249), short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed bank 2, system too rich at idle . On the other hand valve for torque support mount, short to ground is the final reason of the code. |

00742 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
