This code were stamped on VW Engine case cylinder 7 above knock threshold retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start ng high pressure valve (n372), open circuit you can see the generator shut-off, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
00741 Possible Causes:
00741 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 00741 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor signal bank 2 sensor 1, biased / stuck lean
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
