This something to do with the intake camshaft timing catalyst system exhaust bank 4, effectiveness too low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit range / performance or change data bus powertrain, implausible message of the steering angle is the final reason of the code. |
00728 Possible Causes:
00728 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00728 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection pump-c-relay (j704), circuit electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
