Diagnosing engine bar with valve for pump - jet: cylinder 12 (n308), range / performance mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit high and wait then nox sensor heater sense bank 2, circuit range / performance is the final reason of the code. |

00718 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction

- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault

What To Check After Fixing 00718 Code
- Inspect all the connections shift lock, open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
