00698 Possible Causes:
00698 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00698 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit high
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
