The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault engine temperature too low to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to b+ or exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit low will delay your vw fault. |

00698 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
What To Check After Fixing 00698 Code
- Inspect all the connections control module defective
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
