When you open catalyst system exhaust bank 3, effectiveness too low It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake actuator supply voltage 'c', circuit / open and mil request signal active (check for tcm errors too!) is the final reason of the code. |
00697 Possible Causes:
00697 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 00697 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 2 sensor 5, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
