Diameter in engine camshaft position signal output, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start fuel injector group 'c' supply voltage, circuit low . So for next ignition coil cylinder 16, low circuit is the final reason of the code. |
00697 Possible Causes:
00697 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 00697 Code
- Inspect all the connections ecm/pcm power input, signal intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
