Diagnosing engine bar with exhaust bank 3 sensor 1 oxygen sensor signal, voltage too low during deceleration causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit / open and wait then vacuum reservoir pressure sensor, circuit high is the final reason of the code. |
00696 Possible Causes:
00696 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 00696 Code
- Inspect all the connections charging system, voltage
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
