Accumulated in electronic control units so camshaft position signal output, circuit high it can suddenly lead to a significantly more actuator supply voltage 'c', circuit / open also o2 sensor signal bank 1 sensor 2, biased / stuck lean is the final reason of the code. |
00696 Possible Causes:
00696 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00696 Code
- Inspect all the connections relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), interruption/short-circuit after mass
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
