Diagnosing engine bar with linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 4 / reference voltage, open circuit retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, electrical error in the electric circuit also accelerator position sensor 2 (g185), signal too low is the final reason of the code. |
00687 Possible Causes:
00687 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00687 Code
- Inspect all the connections o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
