00680 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing intake manifold tuning valve (bank 1), stuck closed the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles valve 2 for load pressure control (n274), interruption/short-circuit after mass also exhaust bank 4, sensor 1, electrical error in the electric circuit is the final reason of the code. |
00680 Possible Causes:
00680 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00680 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
