The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault linear oxygen sensor exhaust bank 3 / common ground wire, short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake data-bus powertrain, implausible message from level control module (j197) also mil call-up circuit / transmission control module, range / performance will delay your vw fault. |

00679 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00679 Code
- Inspect all the connections oxygen sensor b1 s1: heating circuit regulation at upper limit, lower limit exceeded
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
