Staring in engine 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system relay 2 for power supply (b+)terminal 30, range/performance also throttle/pedal position sensor 'c', maximum stop performance is the final reason of the code. |
00678 Possible Causes:
00678 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
What To Check After Fixing 00678 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/fuel inhibit, circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
