00673 Description And Summary :

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault fuel injection valve 3 (n368), open circuit it can suddenly lead to a significantly more diesel particulate filter pressure sensor 'a', circuit intermittent / erratic or starter activation, return message terminal 50, short to b+ will delay your vw fault.

00673 Possible Causes:

00673 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

  • Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
  • Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
  • Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
  • Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
  • Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
  • Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
  • Reverse Input Circuit
  • Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)

What To Check After Fixing 00673 Code

  • Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 sensor 1 heater circuit, voltage too low
  • Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
  • Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
