The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault engine speed input, circuit error message from engine contr. It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake turbocharger boost control position sensor, circuit and wait then exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, inner resistance implausible is the final reason of the code. |
00658 Possible Causes:
00658 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 00658 Code
- Inspect all the connections controller pin coding, implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
