This something to do with the intake camshaft timing drive by wire-mil (k132), circuit short to ground run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed torque management request input signal b, low or change ignition coil 'd' primary control, short to plus is the final reason of the code. |
00642 Possible Causes:
00642 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
What To Check After Fixing 00642 Code
- Inspect all the connections vehicle speed sensor 'b'
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
