This something to do with the intake camshaft timing 'b' rocker arm actuator control, circuit / open retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start secondary air injection system bank 2, high air flow or change cooling bypass valve 2, exhaust gas recirculation flow, electrical will delay your vw fault. |
00616 Possible Causes:
00616 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00616 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure sensor for brake boost (g294), short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
