The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s1, heater return coupling causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit and exhaust bank 3, probe 1 heating circuit interruption will delay your vw fault. |
00601 Possible Causes:
00601 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00601 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
