The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault interference in mechatronic module to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck closed or change intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 2 will delay your vw fault. |
00591 Possible Causes:
00591 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00591 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection valve 3 (n384), circuit short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
