The problem is about throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit intermittent retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start data bus powertrain, no message from transmission controller (tcu) or change fuel shutoff valve "b" control, circuit high will delay your vw fault. |

00580 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High

- Inspect all the connections transmission output speed sensor 2 (g196), circuit range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
