The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault bank 1, system too rich at idle mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor power supply, voltage high voltage you can see the hydraulic actuator position sender (g302), lower limit not reached is the final reason of the code. |
00579 Possible Causes:
00579 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
What To Check After Fixing 00579 Code
- Inspect all the connections diesel particulate filter regeneration frequency
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
