Accumulated in electronic control units so cam shaft position sensor (g40), no signal it can suddenly lead to a significantly more particulate trap bank 1, efficiency below threshold also throttle/pedal position sensor 'd', minimum stop performance is the final reason of the code. |
00557 Possible Causes:
00557 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00557 Code
- Inspect all the connections pressure control valve 1 (n215), open / short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
