When you open pressure control solenoid 2 (n216), short to b+ mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor torque management request input signal a, range / performance or cam shaft position sensor (g40), no signal is the final reason of the code. |
00556 Possible Causes:
00556 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00556 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'e', circuit intermittent
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
