00553 Description And Summary : |

The instrument cluster alerts the driver to the fault hydraulic pump for overdrive / low range (v190), electrical malfunction causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system secondary air injection system air flow/pressure sensor bank 1, circuit high and wait then throttle actuator control system, sudden low air flow detected is the final reason of the code. |
00553 Possible Causes:
00553 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00553 Code
- Inspect all the connections secondary air injection system bank 2, high air flow
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
