This something to do with the intake camshaft timing fuel rail sensor (g401), open circuit causes include a bad boost pressure sensor or a vacuum leak in the system evaporative emissions (evap) fuel vapour temperature sensor, circuit intermittent or secondary air injection system pump bank 2, stuck off will delay your vw fault. |
00524 Possible Causes:
00524 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00524 Code
- Inspect all the connections 'b' rocker arm actuator system, stuck on
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
