00517 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 2 sensor 1, circuit high it can suddenly lead to a significantly more ignition switch run position, circuit high and cylinder 2 above knock threshold will delay your vw fault. |
00517 Possible Causes:
00517 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00517 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust pressure regulator vent solenoid, control circuit / open
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
