Accumulated in electronic control units so relay for exhaust cooling agent (n313), short to ground It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake vehicle speed signal, circuit short to b+ also relays for electrical fuel pump 2 (j49), interruption/short-circuit after mass is the final reason of the code. |
00516 Possible Causes:
00516 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Cold Start Injector 1 Malfunction
- Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Low
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
What To Check After Fixing 00516 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant (fc) fan control module (j293), malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
