Staring in engine intake manifold runner position sensor / switch, circuit intermittent bank 1 mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor nox sensor bank 2, circuit range / performance and air cleaner inlet control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |
00506 Possible Causes:
00506 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit Low
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00506 Code
- Inspect all the connections ignition coil 'l' primary control, short to plus
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
