Staring in engine secondary air injection valve 4 (n385), circuit open circuit mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor starter interlock, circuit short to ground . On the other hand malfunction indication light (k83), electrical malfunction is the final reason of the code. |
00506 Possible Causes:
00506 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance Fault
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
What To Check After Fixing 00506 Code
- Inspect all the connections throttle position (tp) sensor (g79), error message from ecm
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
