This something to do with the intake camshaft timing 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit high run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed secondary air injection system control 'a', circuit high or direct ozone reduction catalyst deterioration sensor, circuit intermittent / erratic is the final reason of the code. |
00505 Possible Causes:
00505 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
- Reverse Input Circuit
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00505 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet: cylinder 11 (n307), range / performance
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
