The problem is about glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit open / short to ground retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start turbocharger / supercharger boost system performance or shift lock, short to b+ will delay your vw fault. |
005 Possible Causes:
005 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Fuel Temperature Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
What To Check After Fixing 005 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 3 sensor 1, inner resistance implausible
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
