Staring in engine glow plug / heater indicator (k29), circuit short to b+ the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles o2 sensor pumping current trim bank 2 sensor 1, circuit low and wait then intake manifold tuning (imt) valve position sensor / switch bank 1, circuit is the final reason of the code. |
00499 Possible Causes:
00499 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
What To Check After Fixing 00499 Code
- Inspect all the connections valve for pump - jet, cylinder 1 (n240), electrical malfunction
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
