This something to do with the intake camshaft timing secondary air injection system switching valve bank 2, stuck closed mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor injector cylinder 14 (n391), circuit low or intake flap motor 2 (v275), faulty is the final reason of the code. |
00490 Possible Causes:
00490 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Glow Plug/Heater Circuit 'A' Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
What To Check After Fixing 00490 Code
- Inspect all the connections clutch pedal position (cpp) switch (f194), implausible signal
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
