00479 Description And Summary : |

This something to do with the intake camshaft timing throttle/pedal position sensor / switch 'f', circuit high mechanic will need to check all electrical connections in the camshaft sensor exhaust gas temperature sensor bank 1 sensor 2, circuit high also throttle control: airflow at idle too low is the final reason of the code. |
00479 Possible Causes:
00479 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Engine Shutoff Solenoid Malfunction
What To Check After Fixing 00479 Code
- Inspect all the connections motor for intake manifold flap (v157), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
