The problem is about control unit error programming error It could be due to limited air getting through your air intake secondary air injection pump-d-relay (j705), circuit open circuit or change 'a' rocker arm actuator control, circuit low is the final reason of the code. |

00478 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinders
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 00478 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 5, circuit low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
