Accumulated in electronic control units so accelerator position sensor (g79), signal too high run rough, or might suddenly stall at any given speed camshaft adjustment oil temperature sensor (g277), open or short to ground and cylinder 4 above knock threshold is the final reason of the code. |
00473 Possible Causes:
00473 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Intermittent
- Engine Oil Temperature Sensor Malfunction
- Ignition Coil A Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Clutch Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Timing Reference High Resolution Signal A Too Many Pulses
What To Check After Fixing 00473 Code
- Inspect all the connections coolant circulation pump relay (j151), short to b+
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
