This something to do with the intake camshaft timing oxygen (lambda) sensor b2 s2, signal shorted to heater circuit to change the oil filter and use the recommended engine oil to avoid any problems in the future so o2 sensor negative current control bank 2 sensor 1, circuit low and friction too high, intake cam adjustment bank 2 will delay your vw fault. |
00457 Possible Causes:
00457 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Injection lump Fuel Metering Control 'B' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit Low
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Malfunction
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Low Input

What To Check After Fixing 00457 Code
- Inspect all the connections turbo/super charger, under-boost condition
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
