Diagnosing engine bar with valve for pump - jet: cylinder 8 (n304), range / performance the system depends on oil pressure to switch between cam profiles interference in mechatronic module . So for next cooling bypass valve, exhaust gas recirculation flow, electrical is the final reason of the code. |
00457 Possible Causes:
00457 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:
- Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too High
- Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction
- Shift/Timing Solenoid Malfunction/ 3-2 Shift Solenoid Circuit Electrical
- Injection Pump Fuel Metering Control 'A' High (Cam/Rotor/Injector)
- Shift Solenoid E Performance or Stuck Off
- Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit High Input
- Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit Malfunction
- Cylinder 10 Contribution/balance Fault
What To Check After Fixing 00457 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust gas temperature sensor 2 bank 2 (g449), short to ground
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
