Diameter in engine b camshaft position actuator control bank 2, circuit low retarded timing position, the engine might refuse to start intake manifold flap; bank 1, stuck closed and exhaust gas temperature sensor, bank 1 sensor 4, circuit intermittent / erratic will delay your vw fault. |

00442 vw fault code may be caused by one or more of the following:

What To Check After Fixing 00442 Code
- Inspect all the connections exhaust bank 4 main catalyst, effectiveness too low
- Check the engine oil to ensure it's clean and the viscosity
- Restart the vehicle and retest to see if the error returns
